Open to MTU students only: screening students presenting to the service; provision of short term counselling; consultations; provision of workshops for groups/college societies/class groups; liaising with academic staff.
Providing affordable counselling and play therapy for children and adolescents – offering an initial consultation within 3 working days of initial contact.
Guidance counsellors advise students and young people so that they can make informed choices about their future in relation to employment, education and training. Responsibilities include assessing ability and potential in students, providing one-to-one counselling, and liaising with other professionals in this area.
