Family Resource Centres

Family Resource Centres (FRCs) operate within a community-based family support model, which is at the heart of the Programme. The centrality of community development informs the approaches, values, and methods that underpin FRCs’ work, defining their unique contribution.

A core aspect of the FRC Programme is the involvement of local people in identifying needs and developing needs-led responses. FRCs are participative and empowering organisations that support children, families, and individuals while building the capacity and leadership of local communities. They provide a range of universal and targeted services and development opportunities that address community needs.

Family Resource Centres are available throughout the County, they offer a varied range of services, but the list is not exhaustive or exclusive to each centre. Please contact your nearest centre for a list of services they provide such as:
