Starting Point – Online Drug & Alcohol Family Support Programme

Starting Point is an online Family Support Programme for family members who have been or are affected by their loved one’s substance use. It covers six topics over six sessions including understanding addiction, addiction and mental health, family relationships, boundaries and safety, communication and recovery for everyone. The programme will be on every Tuesday morning from 10:30-12:00 using zoom.

Participants can join at any session, as this will be a rolling programme. Participation in the group is voluntary and opportunities to seek in-person support will be available.
This programme can be used if you have families on a waiting list for support. It can also be that initial starting point where families can receive information about what services could support their needs in their area. Follow-up contact with families will be available if required.
Families will benefit from hearing from others who are experiencing similar challenges and difficulties in their lives.
