As Covid -19 interrupted the series of talks and workshops for parents in Spring 2020, Kerry Libraries hopes to spend the remainder of the grant on a number of online talks and to provide children’s book collections for the four early intervention center’s in Kerry.

Kerry Libraries hope to upload some videos onto their website during October.   There will be a talk facilitated by Dr. Mary O’Kane, Dr Claire Griffin and readings by Valerie Sheehan, autism tutor and author of Tony the Turtle book collection.

Other news:

  • Kerry County Council as well as Kerry Library will be involved in Kerry’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Fest 2020 during October.
  • Kerry Library has received funding to install a sensory hub in Listowel Library for autistic and dementia patients.  This is at early stages of planning at the minute.
  • Currently libraries are open for ‘Browsing and Lending’ but not for events, study or for public computers.
