CyberSafeKids and Irish Internet Hotline have today co-launched an awareness campaign about intimate image abuse.
Irish Internet Hotline (IIH) recently published new data showing a dramatic 66% increase in reports of intimate image abuse in 2025, with children and young people identified as a particularly at-risk group. Ireland’s national reporting centre, IIH, received a total of 862 reports of intimate image abuse in 2025, up from 519 in 2024 – with children and young people under 18 accounting for 13% of all cases. 35% of cases involved victims aged 18–24 — meaning nearly half of all reports involved young people aged 24 or under.
