‘How to Age Well’ Seminar (Evidence from TILDA)

On Monday the 10th of February, 2020 from 7:00p.m. – 9:00p.m. in The Rose Hotel Tralee, Professor Anne Kenny a world-renowned authority in healthy ageing and Principal Investigator of The Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (TILDA) will be delivering a public seminar ‘How to Age Well’ Evidence from TILDA.

 

TILDA, the GAA and Irish Life have joined forces to highlight the secrets to successful ageing through this series of regional seminars. The joint initiate, launched in Croke Park and has gone from strength to strength.

The seminar will highlight TILDA’s cutting edge findings on prevention of cardiovascular disorders, maintaining brain health and diet in Ireland. Professor Kenny will empower individuals to better understand the ageing process and therefore manage quality of life, physical and brain health.

GAA Ambassadors from Kerry will be in attendance at the event to support and to speak about their own experiences of inter-county success and insights to health and well being. The Ambassadors visited TILDA’s research hub in Trinity College to experience some of the tests that the research participants undergo, including cognitive tests, gait analysis, grip strength, bone density and aural and visual testing.
