This project is all about celebrating the great outdoors in County Kerry and inspiring children, young people, and families to go outside and enjoy the amazing natural spaces right on their doorstep.
Almost six hundred children from twenty-three primary schools across the county helped to create a special, creative map highlighting free places and spaces in Kerry that support our health and wellbeing. We asked each child who took part to draw a picture and write a short piece about a free outdoor place in Kerry they enjoy spending time in. They shared where it is, what they enjoy most about it, and how being there makes them feel.
