Explore the Kerry Library Toys and Sensory Resources Collection with Lorraine O’Hanlon

Due to demand, additional ‘Explore the Kerry Library Toys and Sensory Resources Collection with Lorraine O’Hanlon’ have been scheduled for the month of March.

These sessions will take place in:

Tralee Library, Saturday 7 March, 1pm,-3pm

Listowel Library, Saturday 21st March, 12pm-2pm

Caherciveen Library, Saturday 28th March, 12pm-2pm

At these sessions parents, teachers, special needs assistants and carers can drop in to the library to meet Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist who specialises in Play Therapy, Lorraine O’Hanlon, and explore the collection of toys and resources that Kerry Library has to offer. Lorraine will also be explaining the benefits of a play routine and how to build one with your child.

The Toys and Sensory Resources collection is a collection for children with complex needs and their families. Registration with the Kerry Toy and Sensory Resource Collection, requires a letter of referral from an Occupational Therapist, Speech & Language Therapist, Physiotherapist, Play Therapist, Psychotherapist or Psychologist working in Kerry. Membership is free to any parent who can provide the above referral form. Membership is also available for Special Needs Assistants working in Kerry Primary Schools who may wish to use the resources with their pupils. A letter of referral from the school principal is required.
